Kati Bihari

A Hungarian Junior Championship bronze medal skater in 1971, Kati danced children’s roles with the Hungarian State Opera in the ’70s. She also choreographed and coached international competitive skaters in the early 1980s. Kati graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Dance Arts in 1984 as a professional dance arts performer. She was a corps de ballet dancer in the Hungarian State Opera from 1984-1987. Later she taught at the Scuola di Danza Suzanna Egri, Torino, Italy. She left there to dance and choreograph in her role as Assistant to the Artistic Director in the Theatre of Ulm, Germany.

Since arriving in Edmonton in 1992, Kati has been an instructor, choreographer and examiner for the Russian Vaganova Dance Technique Society and ballet and stretch instructor for the Royal Glenora Club. Her primary focus has been as a ballet educator and choreographer, teaching ballet, pointe, modern dance and stretch technique.
