Originally from Calgary, Chelsea began her ballet training with the International School of Ballet at the age of three. Later she moved to Sherwood Park where she expanded her repertoire to include pointe, lyrical, jazz, modern, and musical theater. Chelsea performed in “The Nutcracker” with Alberta Ballet and Jeunesse Classique for ten years with roles including Russian and Miniature Spanish Doll.

In her seven years as a dance instructor, Chelsea’s choreography for both ballet and lyrical routines has won numerous awards. She constantly strives to grow and learn by attending classes and conferences. This year she is completing her Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies.

In addition, Chelsea has received her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta and is now working towards her After Education Degree in Secondary School with a Major in Math and a Minor in Science. She has taken up aerial silks as a hobby to continue to explore new methods of movement. She also enjoys bouldering and hiking in the mountains.

Chelsea is thrilled to join the Dance Theme faculty and to share her expertise and passion for dance.
