Full Year Programs

At Dance Theme, we strive to provide programming to meet every student’s needs. From the once a week student to those wanting to focus on dance as their main activity and compete at a high level; there is a program for all dancers. With Dance Theme’s blend of incredible training in a fun and positive environment, dancers are encouraged to achieve their goals.

The programs are structured so that every student is challenged at the appropriate level to meet their needs.

Jazz

Jazz is a popular dance form as it is an energetic, technical and fun dance format. Classes include warm-up, stretching, combinations across the floor and fun, fast and technical choreography!  Jazz dance can be seen everywhere from dance music videos to hit Broadway Shows.

Tap

“Making music with your feet.” This form of dance is becoming increasingly popular as more and more students learn how much fun it is to make rhythms with their feet. At Dance Theme, we offer quality training in the Al Gilbert Syllabus as well as open classes.

Ballet

Ballet is the fundamental dance form. It develops grace, coordination and correct posture. The Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.), is offered at Dance Theme. It is internationally recognized and sets a standard for developing technical and artistic proficiency.

Lyrical

Contemporary

Lyrical is a powerful dance form that is a combination of jazz and ballet techniques. As well as teaching technique, lyrical develops a student’s emotional interpretation of dance. Routines are choreographed to ballads. Previous ballet and/or jazz training is a pre-requisite.

Contemporary dance is a genre that developed during the mid twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world. Due to its technical similarities, it is often perceived to be closely related to modern dance, ballet and other classical dance styles.

DTA Musical Theatre Company

The new DTA Musical Theatre Company combines songs, acting, and dance. The program teaches jazz dance choreography, vocal and acting instruction in a fun and creative environment!
