With Dance Theme’s blend of excellent training in a fun and positive environment, dancers are encouraged to reach their personal goals. We understand that different students have different needs; we review our programs and update them annually to ensure programs appeal to all ages and abilities.

EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM
Dance Theme’s early childhood classes provide our youngest students with excellent training in an inspirational and fun environment. Students explore a variety of dance genres through developmentally appropriate games, themes and routines.

Tutus and Bowties is a ballet and creative movement class with a variety of monthly themes. The program is designed to provide our youngest students with excellent ballet training in an inspirational and fun environment.
Session start: Fall, winter
Tutus and Bowties (2-5 years)

Jazz includes rhythm, movement, spatial awareness, balance and more! This upbeat, high energy class is a fun way to learn dance.
Session start: Fall, winter
Jazz (4-5 years)

Learn to make music with your feet! Tap includes motor skill development, musicality and rhythm, discipline, spatial awareness and balance.
Session start: Fall, winter, spring
Tap (4-5 years)

Our mini hip hop program starts with basic skills tied to the origins of hip hop. This high energy class will get your mini star moving and fall in love with dance!
Session start: Fall, winter, spring
Hip Hop (4-5 years)

Learn the basics of acrobatics and dance in this mini version of AcroDance. Students learn safe progressions of skill development while developing their love of tumbling, balance and strength. This program has been developed by Acrobatic Arts.

ACRO
Learn how to balance, limber and tumble safely and effortlessly across the stage.
Certified teachers teach the 5 fundamentals of acro.
Acrobatic Arts, TADA
JAZZ
Based on African and European dance styles, jazz dance includes high-energy movements, broadway like showmanship and rhythmical accuracy.
Ballet and jazz are the perfect training combination!
BALLET
Students study the foundation of dance through graceful, artful movements. Ballet is key to jazz, lyrical and contemporary dance.
Royal Academy of Dance
LYRICAL
Ballet and jazz combine in this expressive art form. Dancers tell powerful stories by interpreting the lyrics of music. Dancers taking lyrical must take jazz and ballet.
CONTEMPORARY
A dance form borrowing from classical, modern and jazz dance styles - incorporating changes in rhythm, tempo and direction.
MUSICAL THEATRE
Affectionately called "Broadway Bound" this style incorporates jazz dance technique with musicals, tv performances or pop culture songs. You'll be singing along in no time!
HIP HOP
A street dance style that has influences from hip hop culture. Established in the 1970s from popular dance crews, this dance style is fun for everyone!
TAP
Making music with your feet! Tap has a strong focus on musicality and rhythm. Tap is engaging for all ages - we have classes from age 3 to adult.
Al Gilbert

ACADEMY PROGRAM
The Academy program is designed for the once-a-week dance student who wants the best in children's dance training and performing opportunities. The class will participate in the year-end recital and possibly one or two festivals depending on the age and level.
Classes offered: Acro, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap. Advanced Academy currently in Ballet: Lyrical, Contemporary
Performances: Year-end recital, potential festival opportunities
Session: September - June (Last day to register is October 30)

COMPETITION PROGRAM
This program is for the children who are looking for more weekly training and performing opportunities. The class will participate in the year-end recital and two or three festivals/competitions. Students in a competitive jazz class must be taking a minimum of one ballet class in the current season. They must be in both jazz and ballet to be in a competitive lyrical/contemporary class.
Classes offered: Acro, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap
Performances: Year-end recital, competition opportunities
Session: September - June (Last day to register October 30)

COMPANY PROGRAM
Dance Theme’s Company teams are divided into three levels; Junior, Intermediate, and Advanced. Dancers are required to be in a minimum of two ballet classes per week as well as stretch, technique and choreography classes. Further information is available by contacting the studio. Audition required.

Performances: Year-end recital, competition opportunities, travel opportunities
